The World Language program provides primarily first- and second-year transfer-level courses that will satisfy core General Education (G.E.) requirements for career pathway in the workforce a well as to satisfy requirements for the CSU’S and UC’S.
For student’s needs and convenience, the World Languages & Global Studies Department offers courses scheduled in various modalities: face-to-face, hybrid, and fully online.

The Associate in Arts in World Languages and Global Studies is a multidisciplinary course of study that encourages global awareness and intercultural communication and understanding through the acquisition of at least one modern language other than English, namely Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Sign Language, and Spanish.
