Why choose our Kinesiology program?

Kinesiology is the study of the role of movement in the human body and how it works in sport activities. The primary focus of the kinesiology faculty is the education of students toward lifelong development of physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially fit human beings through physical activities. The following courses are offered in support of this goal:

  • Athletics

  • Physical Education Theory

Kinesiology programs are usually found at colleges and universities; they include bachelors, masters, and doctoral degree programs. Students who plan to teach physical education in elementary, middle or secondary schools may need to obtain a California Teaching Credential.
