Recycling
The Maintenance & Operations Department is committed to assisting in reducing the carbon footprint at Delta College by reducing, reusing, and recycling. Recycling prevents re-usable materials from ending up in a landfill. Assembly Bill No. 75 requires campuses to adopt an integrated waste management plan to reduce waste by a minimum of 50%. In order to meet this mandate, Delta College operates a "co-mingle" recycle waste program. This means that all recyclables can be thrown in the same can and do not have to be separated.
