Key Issuance
Door Knob Replacement Project
March 2019
- To improve safety and security and to make our facilities more accessible, Delta College will be replacing thousands of doorknobs throughout the District and providing new keys to faculty and staff for the remainder of the spring semester.
- The work will begin in earnest on Saturday, March 16 and will be conducted mostly on weekends.
- The project is expected to be complete by early May. Here's what you need to know.
Key Requests
- Key request usually take 1 to 2 business days to process. An e-mail will be sent when the key and/or code is ready for pickup.
- Please submit your key requests at least 2 weeks prior to new staff starting or event.
- This will allow the staff to prepare and program any necessary keys.
- We will do our best to accommodate last minute requests, but there are no guarantees.
- Please Do Not Enter a work order when requesting keys.
Key Fob Instructions
To gain access to access controlled areas:
- Present fob/card at the key pad
- A green light will flash in the upper left hand corner - Door will unlock
- Door will automatically lock
Key Pad Instructions - Programming Science & Math Classrooms
Programming Time
- Press *
- Enter the number of minutes you want the door to remain open (Example = 120 for 2 hrs)
- Press #
- Present Fob/Card
*****Doors will unlock and remain unlocked until the end of the programmed time*****
Removing Programmed Time
- Press *
- Enter "0"
- Press #
- Present Fob/Card
****Doors will lock****
