Start or Renew a Club

 

Want to Register a New Club for the 2024-2025 Academic Year?

Registration Deadlines:

  • Fall 2024 - October 11, 2024
  • Spring 2025 - April 7, 2025

Please note: Students may begin club registration process TWO (2) prior the start of the fall and spring semester.


 

How to Start/Renew a Club

 

STEP 1: Recruit Club Officers and Advisor(s)

  • Club Officers: You need four (4) club officers who are currently enrolled at San Joaquin Delta College, taking at least three (3) units, maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0, and not on disciplinary probation. 
  • Advisor(s): You must have at least one (1) full-time faculty member or manager as your club advisor. Classified staff can serve as co-advisors. Having a co-advisor is recommended. 

 

STEP 2: Create or Update a Club Constitution/Bylaws

  • Use the Club Constitution Template provided from the Office of Student Life. 
  • For new clubs, your constitution will be reviewed by the Office of Student Life and the Inter-Club Council (ICC) to ensure it aligns with ICC Constitution, District policies, and Education Code.

STEP 3: Complete and Submit Online Club Registration

  • This annual form collects information about your club, officers, and advisors. 
  • For new or updated documents, upload your club constitution with the registration form. 
  • The online form opens two (2) weeks before the fall and spring semesters start.

STEP 4: Officers and Advisor(s) sign a Club Authorization Form

  • The Club Authorization Form authorizes access to the club account and official documents. 
  • This form will be sent to you via DocuSign by the Office of Student Life. 

 

STEP 5: New Officers Must Attend Club Orientation

  • New club officers, who have never attended a club orientation or have not attended in over two (2) years, must attend. 
  • Orientation dates are listed on the Office of Student Life webpage. 

 

Complete this 5-step process within eight (8) weeks of the semester start.  
The Office of Student Life is available to help with any questions. 


 

Club Rush Information

Club Rush is a multi-day event organized by the Office of Student Life, for clubs to promote their organization on campus and recruit new potential members. This is a MANDATORY event; each club must participate at least ONE (1) day.

Please note: Attendance will be taken both days to ensure clubs are present.
 

Location:
Location for Club Rush will be held in the Quad, weather permitting; otherwise, event will be relocated to Upper Danner.

  • Wednesday, September 11, 2024 | 11:00AM – 1:00PM
  • Thursday, September 12, 2024 | 11:00AM – 1:00PM

 

Club Orientation Information

Orientation is MANDATORY for all the new club officers (President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and ICC Rep). No registration is required to attend club orientation sessions. Please ensure all club officers attend a scheduled orientation.

Please note: if you are more than FIVE (5) minutes late to orientation, you will not be allowed attend that scheduled meeting.
