Private Colleges Articulation Information
The nations accredited independent colleges and universities provide many options at the undergraduate, graduate, and professional level for students planning to continue their education beyond the community college.
Admissions requirements vary widely among institutions. Students who transfer to independent colleges and universities may be given credit for most, if not all, of their community college work. Some, but not all, private colleges and universities in California may accept credit for general education courses and for most other courses designated by the community college for transfer.
Since each independent college and university has different general education and major preparation requirements, it is important to consult with a counselor for proper course planning and transfer information.
Additional information on transfer opportunities is available in catalog form in the Transfer Center, DeRicco Bldg. Room 132 and the Counseling Office, DeRicco Bldg., Room 234. Representatives from many colleges and universities visit San Joaquin Delta College on a regular basis. For more information, contact the Counseling and Transfer Center staff.
