Fashion is a $3 trillion dollar global industry, with more than $250 billion spent annually on fashion in the United States. Fashion and fashion-related industries are the nation's largest, employing 1.9 million people, having a positive impact on regional economies across the country. New York City and Los Angeles are the two largest fashion hubs in the United States, with over two-thirds of all fashion designers employed in these cities. However, cities such as San Francisco, Nashville, and Columbus are beginning to reap economic benefits, including high-paying jobs in fashion.
The Fashion Program at Delta College offers students an opportunity to experience the fashion industry at every step of their education. The curriculum is industry-based and Delta College partners with industry professionals for a variety of activities and events. Delta offers industry tours and experiences and has an established reputation for the quality of its academic and career preparation.

Students who complete their certificate(s) and/or degree(s) in the Fashion Program will be well prepared for a career in the industry and for transfer to complete a Bachelor's degree.
Fashion Program graduates work in design and merchandising for some of the most well-known fashion brands including Alexander Wang, Burberry, Gucci, Hugo Boss, Levis, Marchesa, Bibhu Mohapatra, and more. Some fashion graduates have gone on to teach fashion and some to start their own businesses and fashion lines.
The Fashion Merchandising Certificate and Associate Degree provide students with a solid foundation in all areas of fashion merchandising. This knowledge will allow students to perform at a high level in a fashion business, in jobs in the areas of buying, retail management, visual merchandising, styling, marketing or promotions.
Students who complete a Certificate or Associate Degree in Apparel Design will be prepared for jobs in areas of fashion design, fashion manufacturing and production, custom sewing, and entrepreneurship.
