MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of APIASA is to promote the betterment of Asian and Pacific Islander Americans involved in the educational process at SJDC and in the local community. We are dedicated to the following objectives:

  • to advance the professional, educational, civic, and social interests of our members;
  • to stimulate community interest in all phases of education and to encourage constructive action to help meet the educational and cultural needs of the community;
  • to provide Asian and Pacific Islander American students access to higher education by granting monetary scholarships;
  • to promote a better understanding and cultural exchange amongst Asian and Pacific Islander Americans and provide a support system to our members which includes mentorship and honoring our retirees.

Filipino American History Month (FAHM) Fest 24

Delta College's Asian Pacific Islander American Staff Association (APIASA), Cultural Awareness Program (CAP), and Empowering Positive Initiatives for Change (EPIC) are sponsoring Filipino American History Month's "FAHM FEST 24", in collaboration with local community non-profit orgs as co-sponsors.  They include the Filipino American National Historical Society (FANHS) Stockton Chapter, FANHS National Museum, Kommunity Hub, Little Manila Rising, and Healing P.U.S.O.
