Restorative Justice in Conduct

Restorative Justice in Conduct Procedures

Restorative Justice is an approach to achieving justice that involves, to the extent possible, those who have a stake in a specific offense or harm to collectively identify and address harms, needs, and obligations in order to heal and put things as right as possible. (Zehr, 2015)

At Delta our aim is to look at conduct as a progressive discipline process with a goal to administer a restorative justice process to the extent possible to repair harm but move those involved in the incident forward toward more successful overall outcomes in college. Below is an explanation of the difference between a historically penal system and the restorative justice lens we hope to infuse in to our Delta culture.
