Internet Connectivity

Wifi. Free WiFi is now available in most Delta College parking lots from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday. You do not need a parking permit. 

There are two WiFi networks for students:

  • DeltaStudentWifi
  • DeltaStudentWifi2

The new password for both networks is: 

            DeltaWiFi5151

Hot Spots: A limited number of hot spot devices are available for loan. If you think you would benefit from having a hot spot, alert your success coach through Canvas or email them directly from this link.

California Connects Mobile Internet includes a mobile hotspot that lets college students stay connected to the Internet. The new mobile hotspot service, powered by Sprint, offers nationwide 4G LTE connectivity and allows users to connect up to 10 wifi enabled devices for up to 10 hours on a single charge. Comcast Internet Essentials for $9.99 / mo. - Internet Essentials will increase speeds from 15/2 Mbps to 25/3 for all customers in response to emergency measures associated with Coronavirus (COVID-19). This speed increase will happen automatically - no action is required by customers. Customers also receive 2 months for free.

Chromebooks 

Chromebooks are now being distributed to students. If you need one of these devices, please contact your student success coach and ask for a referral. You can find your success coach in Canvas, or you can email your success coach here. Once your referral has been processed, you will be emailed with a day and time to pick up your device.

If you aren't able to access a Chromebook, download the Canvas Student app via the IOS App Store or Google Play to access courses on your mobile device. If you need help navigating, this video has useful tips: http://bit.ly/2w0VH1v.
