Technology needs

Technology resources such as laptops are  available for check-out to students. To begin the process of requesting a device, please connect with a Resource Specialist to get a technology referral.

Please do NOT come to the Mustang Room / Bookstore for technology needs unless you have talked with your resource specialist and  been sent your referral via email from your Resource Specialist.

When you come to pick up your loaner device(s), please be sure to bring a valid government issued PHOTO ID. e.g. Driver License, Passport, or Matricula (Student IDs will not be accepted) AND a copy of your class schedule for Spring 2023 semester.

Returning a Loaner Tech Device

If you have checked out a loaner tech device, please return it at the end of each semester.

Getting Started On Your Chromebook

Chromebook 101

Most of the devices that are available are Chromebooks. If you haven't used a Chromebook before, here’s how to get started.

  1. First, you’ll need Internet access. If you do not have Internet access, please note that Delta College plans to soon install wifi in five College parking lots so that you’ll always have a place you can go to get connected.
  2. If you have Internet access, go ahead and plug in your Chromebook and press the power button in the upper right-hand corner of the keyboard.
  3. You’ll then be asked to set some preferences including your language and network. If you are in one of the college parking lots, you’ll soon be able to use DeltaStudentWifi2 network. The password is DeltaWiFi5151
  4. Then you’ll be asked to sign in with your Google account. If you don’t have a Google account, you can "browse as guest" by clicking the profile icon in the top right corner and clicking “guest.” Then go to to create your free account with username and password.
Getting Started On Your Windows Laptop

Please sign in using the "Student User" Account. There is no password. If you need assistance with setup, or if you're having trouble using your laptop, contact the Mustang Tech Squad in the bookstore during the semester or by calling (209) 954-5151 ext. 6417.
