I am a mixed media and mixed technique artist.  I often start my work with a printed background or collage before I move to drawing and painting.  I like the grungy, unfinished quality I get from it.  In my work, I favor a combination of representational and abstract images.  The objects in my compositions speak to the passage of time, memories, or visions; their imperfections and incompleteness reveal their beauty, surprise me, make them more real. I hope my work connects the viewers to their own memories and visions.
