Natalie Bryan-Petersen
Bio:
Natalie Bryan-Petersen is a Stockton based photographer and stylist who has been working with 35mm film since she was 13 years old. Since 2020 she has been creating portraits with more intention, largely inspired by the art and community that blossoms in Stockton. Film is her medium of choice because it requires her to pause before shooting, putting care and thought into each photo.
Natalie received her Associates Degree in Interdisciplinary Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences from Delta College in 2019 and currently works for World Market in their corporate photo studio
Artist Statement:
I am so honored to once again be a part of the Delta College alumni art show. These photos are a part of an ongoing double-exposure project I have been working on for the last couple of years, I love shooting film and getting to experiment in this way!
The intention behind these portraits I have created is to show the connection between humanity & nature; the beauty & growth that lives inside us all. The subject, Sarah, is at peace both in the water and in her understanding that she will continue to change with the seasons, blooming as we all do.
