In 2023, she established J Driscoll Studio LLC. Which is dedicated to creating artworks that easily resonate with people. Additionally, her commitment extends to community engagement, as exemplified by volunteer efforts at the Escalon Farmers Market and our upcoming project 'Brush & Bouquet,' where the aim is to bring innovative art experiences to local communities.
In my artistic journey, the basis of my work lies in the pursuit of crafting visually alluring creations that serve as a documentation of life's intricate tapestry. The act of translating the beauty that surrounds me onto canvas or paper is more than a creative endeavor; it is a profound and meditative practice that provides solace and a sense of serenity. From the subtle plays of light to vibrant hues captured in portraits, my art captures the nuances of existence. The canvas becomes a space for contemplation, each stroke and color choice a deliberate exploration of emotions and thoughts.
The process of creation, for me, is a journey into a state of flow—a personal reset that has been a constant source of comfort since my formative years. However, the recent passing of my father has added new layers to my artistic exploration. It has become a catalyst for deep reflection on themes of death, grief, and loss. These profound concepts, intertwined with my exploration of novel artistic mediums, have given birth to recent pieces that feel like a venture into uncharted territory.
This current phase of my artistic adventure feels like navigating unexplored terrain, with the art serving as a compass guiding me through this intricate and sometimes turbulent journey. I am driven by an insatiable curiosity to unravel the possibilities that this conceptual undertaking holds, propelling my artistic adventure into new and unanticipated realms.
