One of 116 community colleges in California, Delta College has served the northern San Joaquin Valley and the foothills since 1963. More than 26,000 students attend classes each year on the main Stockton campus, at the South Campus at Mountain House, at the Manteca Farm, and online or at various schools and other facilities in the region.
Students can attain an associate degree and transfer to a four-year university, or they can choose from among more than 100 career and degree certificate programs and go into the workforce right away. In some fields, a degree or certificate from Delta has been shown to double or even triple students' wages.
About half Delta’s students are the first members of their families to attend college. About two-thirds of Delta's students qualify for free tuition, and students receive approximately $45 million in financial aid disbursements each year. We are committed to providing all of our students the support they need to succeed.
We provide that support through a vast array of services and programs, such as the Dream Center for undocumented students, the Pride Center for LGBTQ students and allies, the Veterans Resource Center for those who have served, and Empowerment Resource Programs for foster youth, formally incarcerated students, and homeless or housing-insecure students. These are just a few of the many support services available at Delta.
