Abel Cardenas Jr is a mixed media artist based in Lodi, CA. He has been working in large scale works but due to space at the moment he’s gone back to smaller works. He expects for his work to get even bigger as soon as he finds the space to allow it. Focusing on personal experiences while mixing fantasy-like elements that he pulls from his childhood. Abel's other hobbies consist of spending time with family/pets and watching the Dallas Cowboys.
My creativity is fueled by my love for mixed media art and music, inspired by my close-knit family and childhood memories. Heavily influenced by my Mexican heritage, and often features vibrant colors and bold images that reflect the rich culture and traditions of my roots. Through my mixed media pieces, I aim to tell stories and spark conversations about identity, community, and representation. For me, art is not just meant to be observed, but to be felt and experienced. My art is a reflection of my personal experiences. I hope to bring a piece of my culture and perspective to the world through my creations.
My work is inspired by the quote “Brown Is Beautiful” — Unknown
