Delta College Alumni Artists Visual Poetry Exhibition

Entry Deadline to Select Artists

September 9, 2024 – 11:59 p.m.
Selection Announcement September 16 

The Visual Poetry Exhibition is an opportunity for Delta College alumni artists to exhibit artwork based on the theme of poetry. The initial artwork submitted for review will be used to select the exhibiting artists from the September 9 Entry Deadline. Submitted work images for this deadline are not required to, but may as available, reflect the Exhibition Statement theme, and used in selection process to gauge quality of artist’s work.

Artwork Selection Deadline

September 16 - December 9, 2024 – 11:59 p.m.

Selected artists will be required to submit current and/or to produce new original work based on the Exhibition Statement theme, artwork inspired by poetry, for the December 9 Artwork Selection Deadline. Accepted Artwork will be received at the Gallery by appointment January 6 – 9, 2025.

Exhibiting Artists Stipend: $100 per accepted artwork, capped at $300 for up to 5 selected artworks.

To submit work images for the first Deadline by or before September 9, please login or create an account at the Call website, Smarter Entry, link below.

Submission Requirements:

  • 3 work images with dimensions, medium and optional brief notes regarding process, materials, and/or subject.
  • San Joaquin Delta College Unofficial Transcript indicating completion of 5 required courses in any of the following combinations: studio arts: ceramics, drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture; Media Arts: photography, graphic arts, digital arts (no video); and Art History.
