Artist Statement:
Creating artwork is a journey for me, where I explore mood, personalities and environment. Having a background in traditional and classical painting techniques, I like to merge traditional methods with a variety of expressive and contemporary techniques in the painting process. It gives me great satisfaction when I begin to see the world that is in my mind begin to appear on canvas.
I enjoy creating artwork that has a story to tell, as in Afterwards at McMenamins, Say it With Flowers, Beyond the Sea, and Something to Remember. In most of my paintings, I like to inject a certain amount of ambiguity and mystery, where the viewer is free to complete the narrative in their own personal way.
