DeltaFusion
DeltaFusion: Building Community through the Arts (2011-2019)
Giant Puppet Pageant at Victory Park held in June
DeltaFusion is a community celebration of the natural and cultural diversity of Stockton and the San Joaquin Delta region. Giant puppets, music and scores of community performers will join in to tell the story of where we are and why we came here.
Each June, giant puppets come to life in a parade around the park followed by a pageant, cultural and musical performances continued throughout the day.
Conceived in 2011 by Cathie McClellan, DeltaFusion was originally sponsored by the Theatre Arts Department at the University of the Pacific in partnership with the Haggin Museum and the College of the Pacific. Funding for DeltaFusion in 2014 was also provided by California Webster Foundation and Pacific’s Benerd School of Education.
