(En)gendered Agency presents a group of women artists exploring core expressions of agency: mindfulness, leadership, and intentional action. Each artist approaches their personal and collective agency through an intersectional identity lens, including gender expression, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, culture, social and economic status, and their individual artistic
practice. The resulting artwork promotes advocacy for social change, cultural awareness, and empowerment.
Engendered (to develop, cause, or give rise to) Gendered (as determined by gender identity) Agency (to take action in or control over one’s life).
