This exhibition of student artwork is from the 2023 Spring Semester annual juried show. Due to the Gallery being closed for maintenance, we rescheduled the exhibition for Fall 2023. The annual Student Art Exhibition highlights the work of students and faculty over the past academic year.

An independent juror is invited by the Gallery Committee to select the artwork for the exhibition and awards. This year’s juror, Michael Arcega, is an Associate Professor at San Francisco State University who teaches in the Sculpture and Expanded Practice area. He is a member of the curatorial boards of Root Division Gallery and the Recology Artist in Residence Program. Arcega has a BFA from the San Francisco Art Institute and an MFA from Stanford University. Born in Manila, Philippines, Arcega migrated to Los Angeles at ten years of age. He relocated to San Francisco to attend college where he currently lives and maintains a studio.
The juried exhibition is open to students taking courses at Delta College, and presents $150 Portfolio Awards, for students taking courses in Studio Arts including ceramics, drawing, painting, printmaking, 2D color & design, sculpture, and 3D design, and in Multimedia including graphic art and photography (analogue and digital), and $75 Merit Awards.
