Arena Sotelo Padilla is currently studying History in San Joaquin Delta College, with the pursuit to obtain her AA and transfer. She participates within Delta College through the Politics & Law Club, as well as The Women’s League of Voters.
An Interpretation of October Rust

My inspiration for the piece was the album October Rust by Type O Negative. The melody between metal and pop allowed me to envision a flowy atmosphere that was difficult to interpret within a canvas. I wanted the piece to force the audience to explore every point of the booklet, each page expressing the transition of tune within the album. From a personal perspective, the album was overstimulating, so I want my audience to feel that, too.
