Earth & Ice
These sculptures capture a moment in time using the formal sculptural elements of line, mass, and negative space.  They are influenced by the transformative relationship of global climate change and the melting of our polar caps and glaciers.  As the ice sheets melt they reveal unseen rock formations and raw earth. The marbling of porcelain and dark brown clay combine to capture the changes on the surface of ice when it’s melting.  A sense of timelessness and timeliness is embodied within these forms.
