The annual Student Art Exhibition highlights the work of students and faculty over the past academic year. The exhibition presents work in Studio Arts (ceramics, drawing, painting, printmaking, and sculpture) and Multimedia Art (graphic design/digital art, and analogue/digital photography).
An independent juror is invited by the Gallery to select the artwork for the exhibition and the associated awards. This year’s exhibition juror was Adero Willard, Artist and Ceramics Professor at Sacramento State University. A total of 81 artists entered 211 works, and 49 artists were selected, with 61 works presented in the Gallery exhibition and here online.
Many thanks to our Sponsor, the Frank W. Clancy Memorial Fund, for the seven Portfolio Awards in each discipline medium for $200 each. Students with a major or minor in Studio Arts or Multimedia Arts are eligible to enter the Portfolio Awards. In addition, the Gallery Foundation funds five $100 merit awards, eligible to any of the exhibited work. Special thanks to Delta College President, Dr. Aguilera Lawrenson, who also presents an award for the artwork of their choice with a $200 art supplies gift certificate.
