Professor Chigozie Enwere Bsc (Hons), Msc, PhD.

Prof. Chigozie Enwere PhD, is the Head of Department, Political Science and International Relations of Nile University of Nigeria, the first Turkish University in Africa. His research interest is in the areas of policy development and regional integration in Africa, strategic studies, Africa’s International Relations and Politics and peace and conflict resolution and diplomacy. He holds a Doctorate Degree in International Relations from University of Abuja and bachelor's degree and master's degree in political science and public Administration and International Relations and Diplomacy respectively from Abia State University, Uturu.

Chigozie Enwere is involved in capacity building and training of professionals at domestic and international levels. He was a visiting Professor in Zirve University Gaziantep Turkey, Turgut Ozal University; and Meliksah University College of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Kayseri. He was a key speaker at the International Turgut Ozal Congress on Business, Economics and Political Science, Ankara Turkey. He delivered a paper in the Annual African Conference, University of Texas, Austin, Texas, USA. At the national Level he is the Director, Centre for Policy Studies, Abuja involved in capacity building for Government and non- governmental agencies and ministries. Chigozie Enwere is an Adjunct Lecturer in Nasarawa State University, Keffi where he teaches Security Policy and Strategy. He also writes for Istanbul Centre for Global Affairs on policy issues and development in Africa.

Since 2013, he is a regular analyst in television and radio programmes in Nigeria discussing issues of policy and politics towards achieving a better society for humanity. The radio program includes among others ‘Vision Nigeria’ a programme sponsored by German Government and several Television programs (you tube link: ait focus Nigeria: 2018 budget, issues around delayed passage or ait focus Nigeria: 2018 budget, pulling out all the chocks dart 2). He also features in BBC radio programmes, including its town-hall discussions.

He is an erudite scholar whose academic works and research have been published in reputable international journals. He is also a consultant in developing policy instruments for government agencies and an analyst for various television stations. He has also worked at American Centre for International Labour, building the capacity of labour leaders and of the Nigerian workers. He is a member of Nigeria Political Science Association (NPSA) and British International Studies Association (BISA) which develops and promotes the study of global politics and international studies through teaching, research and the facilitation of contacts between scholars.
