Campus Closure Due to Continued Air Quality Issues
August 24, 2020

To the San Joaquin Delta College District Campus Community,

Due to the continued poor air quality, Delta College physical campuses will remain closed Tuesday August 25 through Sunday August 30. In-person classes are canceled. Online classes and services will continue as scheduled, and live chat and student services will be available as usual at www.deltacollege.edu. Only essential personnel who have been approved by their respective supervisor to work on campus will be allowed on campus.

The Delta College Bookstore will also be closed during this time. We know this may cause concern for students who need textbooks or Chromebooks for their courses.

Bookstore staff are working hard to ship textbook orders as quickly as possible. Roughly 600 textbook orders were shipped on Monday, with free shipping for students. Chromebooks will also be shipped to those who request them from a reource specialist or counselor.

All in-person appointments at the Bookstore have been canceled. If students previously placed an order and made an appointment for pickup, their order will automatically be shipped instead. They do not need to contact the Bookstore unless they want to change the address to which their books will be shipped. If they need to change the address, they can email Bookstore@deltacollege.edu and include their name and order number.

Considering the Bookstore closure, please be flexible with your students until their textbooks and Chromebooks can be delivered to them.

We ask for your patience and we apologize for the inconvenience this causes you. The health of our students, staff, and faculty is of paramount importance. Please check your email for further updates and information regarding campus closures.
