Artist Statement:

Crafting visual connections between historical research and an object or material set the foundation for a variety of explorations and conceptual narratives.  Interdisciplinary and unique explorations reveal common themes of feminine archetypes and stereotypes within the domestic and nature. 

Soiled Memories investigates the material memory of a landscape. Clay and natural pigments captured from soil samples and water samples reveal the hidden ancestral memories within the earth.
