“Mom Brain” is part of a series of ceramic trophies that recognize the many facets of caretaking. This piece specifically highlights the very real mental transition that happens when one becomes a mother, when the brain begins to reorient itself around the constant needs of a new life. The trophy stands victorious, celebrating this aspect of mammalian evolution. It acknowledges the fog, the shift in focus, the forgetting and the deep rewiring that comes with early motherhood.
