Ms. Berenguer received her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of California, Berkeley. She is currently a full-time Lecturer at CSU Stanislaus, Social Work Department and an Adjunct Associate Professor at San Joaquin Delta College.

Ms. Berenguer has been teaching Sociology since 2008. She has taught Intro to Sociology at Modesto Junior College and at San Joaquin Delta College. Since 2000, she has also been teaching graduate courses in social work at CSU Stanislaus. Her research interests have focused on issues relating to child welfare, foster children, and racial & ethnic socialization. Prior to teaching, Ms. Berenguer worked as a social worker in child protective services. Her current passions include becoming certified in mindfulness with children & youth, and providing wellness training & consultation services.
