Terry Petersen

My name is Terry Petersen and I have been teaching full-time at Delta College since 2006. I am one of the founding faculty at the Delta College Mountain House campus and I’ve taught a variety of Communication Studies courses. Before Delta I was teaching full-time and coaching the speech team at Chabot College for eleven years.

I started teaching in 1990 at CSU, Long Beach.  I have also taught and/or coached at Las Positas College, Modesto Junior College, and Cypress College.

I have taught many different communication studies courses including Public Speaking, Oral Interpretation of Literature, Debate, Intercultural Communication, Interpersonal Communication, Readers Theater, Group Communication, and Activities in Forensics.

I started my academic career at Modesto Junior College where I earned my AA degree and competed on the speech team. I went on to earn my BA and MA degrees at Long Beach State University.
