Bio: 

Pamela Pan holds a Ph.D. in Education with an emphasis on language, literacy and culture from the University of California, Davis. She also has two master’s degrees, one from the University of Massachusetts and another from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, where she also earned her bachelor's degree. Dr. Pan has taught English, reading, and other subjects in colleges and universities in Shanghai, Southern California, and at Delta College, ever since 1991. Her research interests include community college students’ writing and reading development, multicultural literature, and literacy engagement. She has conducted studies in these areas, published in academic journals, and presented her research and papers at international conferences such as American Education Research Association (AERA), California Teachers of English as a Second Language (CATESOL), California Association of Teachers of English (CATE).
