David recently transitioned from Police Chief and POST Academy Director here at San Joaquin Delta College to full time faculty. As Chief he oversaw the College District Police Department and POST Academy program.

David also served as Chief of Police with the Lodi Police Department. During his twenty-eight years as a member of the department, David worked in a multitude of assignments including; Patrol, Investigations, Media Relations, Traffic, Watch Commander, District Commander and SWAT Commander. David also has extensive experience in social marketing, community outreach and leadership development.

As Police Chief, David was regarded as an active change agent with a participative leadership style and proven track record of improving organizational efficiency, developing community partnerships and enhancing customer service.

David is involved in the community serving on the board of Directors for the Women’s Center of San Joaquin County as well as SUSD Public Safety Academy.

David is married with three children.
