Enrollment Express events are on track for January

STOCKTON — With spring classes set to begin on Jan. 21, Delta College is resuming a series of special events to help current and new students register for a high-quality, low-cost education.
 
This month’s “Enrollment Express” Saturday events will take place from 9 a.m. to noon on Jan. 11 and Jan. 18 at the DeRicco Building Room 117. One weeknight event will take place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 16. A campus map is available here.

Staff will be on hand at each event to give students one-on-one assistance registering for classes and applying for financial aid. Students can also meet with counselors. A drawing will be held for gift cards, and food will be provided.
 
The time to consider a community college education is now. Gov. Gavin Newsom has expanded a tuition waiver for first-time, full-time students from one year to two years. Most Delta students, in fact, pay no tuition at all.
 
Last fall, Delta was named the No. 1 community college in California by personal finance website WalletHub, citing a range of factors related to quality and affordability.

The College's convenient spring schedule makes it easier for students to take back-to-back classes and finish college faster. The schedule includes late-starting classes that begin in February, March and even April, giving students the flexibility they need.
 
Finally, Delta is offering more than 80 “dual enrollment” courses this semester in which high school students across the region can take college courses. These courses take place at local high schools and there is no cost for tuition, books or fees.
