Census Dates 2024-2025

(Pell Grant / Cal Grant Recalculation Date) Census date is the date that Financial Aid uses to lock Pell Grant / Cal Grant eligibility for each students each semester for courses you are enrolled in. Any Adjustment to courses on or before the course census date may affect your eligibility for Federal Student Aid Programs.

How can I receive my refund?

Students whose files have been completed and meet all eligibility requirements, including meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress, will have their awards released. Students can view their Financial Aid offer letter on their MyDelta, and must Accept or Deny any of the awards presented to them, as well as sign their offer letter for funding to be disbursed to their student account.

Important Reminders

Late start classes: You must be actively enrolled in late start courses in order for those units to be included in the disbursement. Make up disbursement will be disbursed to include late starting classes if there is an increase in the enrollment status.
Remedial units: Delta allows up to 30 remedial units to count toward your enrollment status. Units that exceed the maximum 30 units will not be included in the determination of the enrollment status.
Course 3rd repeat: Prior courses attempted and completed with a passing grade ("D" or higher) will not be included in the determination of the enrollment status if attempted for the third time.
ESL: ESL courses are not counted against the 30 remedial units that a student can take.

WARNING: To accept Federal financial aid at more than one institution, for the same enrollment period, is illegal. You will be required to repay the funds.

Fraud Policy

A student who attempts to obtain federal financial aid by fraudulent means will be reported to federal, state, and campus officials for prosecution. Such actions are, therefore, subject to Student Disciplinary actions and suspension of receiving financial aid for unsatisfactory conduct.

Disbursement Schedules

We make every effort to maintain the published disbursement schedule; however, it is subject to change.

Credit Balance Disbursements

Please be aware that schools have up to 14 days from the time your funding is applied to your student account to release your funds. Although we try to get these credit balances to students within 2-3 days after funds are applied to your account, we may experience some unforeseen circumstances that could hold up this process. Funding will ultimately be released by no later than the 14th day.

Degree Audit

All student courses are evaluated to determine if each course is applicable to the completion of a student’s program. Courses that are not part of a student’s program of choice, or any additional courses needed for transfer, are not courses that are covered with Federal financial aid. Other Financial Assistance may be used to cover these courses.
