Code of Ethics

The Code of Ethics of San Joaquin Delta College Classified Senate will be consistent with democratic principles.

The SJDC Classified Senate and its individual members will adhere to the following while conducting Senate business:

• Base all decisions on available facts
• Upholding the majority decision of the Senate
• Assisting in developing a governance system that is inclusive of all members of the campus community
• Supporting a campus environment that values the diversity of our campus population
• Maintaining professional and personal integrity in all aspects of service
• Advocating the prudent and responsible expenditure of District and Senate funds
• Demonstrating loyalty to the District’s mission and goals
• Encouraging involvement in the college community by participating in campus committees, activities and other affiliations
