Hear directly from California Community College undocumented and mixed status students as they discuss the advantages of joining a club on campus, attending and presenting at conference and how to find a mentor to help you succeed and achieve your professional goals.

Outcomes
-Audience will gain knowledge of the importance of starting and or joining a club on campus
-Audience will learn the benefits of attending and or presenting in conferences for undocumented students and students from mixed immigration status.
-Student panelists will share personal experiences and benefits of participating in professional development activities outside of the classroom.
-Tools and tips to connect and engage with mentorship/networking and advantages to create your own mentorship

Enrique Chiabra

Moderator @Telemundo 52 Los Angeles

Enrique Chiabra is the News Anchor for Telemundo 52’s weekday newscasts, Noticiero Telemundo 52 a las 5:30 p.m., 6:00 p.m. y 11 p.m. Telemundo 52 is Telemundo’s West Coast Flagship television station, delivering nearly 30 hours of local news and programming each week including breaking news coverage, up-to-the-minute weather forecasts, and entertainment. Chiabra’s storytelling and keen journalism has earned him a GLAAD media award and seven Emmy awards, the most recent on a special three-part series surrounding human trafficking in Los Angeles. Chiabra, a native of Peru, earned his bachelor’s degree in Sociology from UCLA in Los Angeles, California.
