Presenter: Dr. James Todd, Assistant Superintendent/Vice President of Instruction& Planning
Location: DeRicco Building 274 & 275
This workshop will discuss the notion of transformational leadership in higher education—specifically the California Community Colleges (CCC). What does it mean to transform institutions? What kinds of relationships and leadership does it take? How can we affect positive, meaningful change in large systems? Why are trust and teamwork so important, and how do you build that? Dr. Todd will address these questions in relation to the current context in the California Community Colleges, and he will also discuss why transformational leadership is needed at this time to meet legislative mandates and system goals.
