2012 Team

After five years of team history, the 2012 Women's Golf Team placed 2nd at the Nor-Cal Regionals to advance to the State Championship next week.  Canada College and Delta are the two teams advancing.  Delta's Layney Silva led the team on Monday with a Regional playoff record settting 67 and a 73 on Tuesday for a finish of four-under as the Northern Section's Regional Champion and Delta's Laura Arellano finished an exceptional season as the #6 Medalist with a score of 155. 

Congratulations to the 2012 Women’s Golf Team for finishing the season in 2nd place in the Big 8 Conference, to Layney Silva who led the conference all season and finished as the Most Valuable Player in the conference, and to Laura Arellano finishing All Conference. 

The Delta College Golf Team is a member of the very competitive Big 8 Conference with many of the players transferring to four year universities and continuing their golfing careers. 2012 is our fifth year in team history, and the word has spread about the Women's Golf Program at  Delta with much enthusiasm and interest from the area golfers to continue with competitive golf as a member of the Delta College Women's Golf Team.
