Lilia Becerra-Quintor has a Master's Degree in English with an emphasis in writing, reading, and linguistics and a Bachelor's Degree in English as a Second Language (ESL) with a minor in Latin American Studies both from the University of the Pacific. She has been teaching ESL and composition for over ten years and taught reading for a number of years. During the 1988/1989 school year, she was the coordinator of the ESL program while the coordinator was on sabbatical. In the ESL program, she has taught English 180, 80, 81,70B, and 84. In the English program, she has taught English 70a-c, English 87, 79, 71, and 1A. Also, during the 1996-1997 school year, she was the Acting Director/Coordinator of the Tutor Center. That year she also taught English 32A-Tutor Training. Professor Becerra specializes in helping students with any questions about the ESL Assessment Test and the Advanced ESL Program!
