Welcome to all new, continuing, and prospective students. If you are a prospective student and still undecided about whether to attend Delta College, this catalog has a wealth of information to assist you in making that decision. If you are a new or continuing student, we thank you for choosing Delta College. The catalog is a document that you should read thoroughly as it contains information that is vital to your success here at Delta College.

Our main purpose as a community college is to help all of our students to achieve their educational goals. We believe that the key to student success begins with choosing the right course of study and program. For those students whose goal is to transfer to a university, the catalog contains information that will get you started and guide you to a successful completion of your requirements (although you still need to meet with a counselor and verify the requirements of the university that you intend to transfer to as they frequently change). For those students who are looking for training to enter a particular career, there are many excellent programs at Delta from which to choose. In fact, the last time I counted, there were approximately 178 degree and certificate programs offered at Delta College. There are few, if any, community colleges who can match the depth and variety of our career education programs.

The mission of San Joaquin Delta College is not only to provide students with the skills and knowledge that are relevant in today's economy, but also to provide educational opportunities to all residents of our District. Our goal is to serve you, our students, and our community better than any other college or educational provider.
