| Office of Planning, Research & Institutional Effectiveness |
The District's Office of Planning, Research, and Institutional Effectiveness (PRIE) coordinates a variety of planning and research activities in support of the District's Mission, Vision, and Strategic Goals
The District's strategic and long-range planning activities are guided by the principles of its mission and vision statements, strategic goals, and the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges/Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).
PRIE leads activities that include comprehensive District and community involvement in the development, implementation, monitoring, assessment of annual and long-range plans that integrate human resources, facilities, and technology/equipment needs in a financial plan. The PRIE unit is responsible for the coordination of District-wide research functions including annual and ongoing research projects, required reporting to state and federal agencies, and the development of research tools and training for faculty and staff.
The District's research function is guided by the standards of quality institutional research as outlined by the Research and Planning (RP) Group, the California Association of Institutional Research (CAIR), and the Association of Institutional Research (AIR).
