Why Choose Welding Technology?

The Welding Technology program provides students with the necessary skills for preparation to enter the welding and fabrication trades. The courses develop the necessary skills to use Oxy/Fuel, SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, and various cutting techniques as they apply to the welding of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Other areas of study include metallurgy of welding, design of welding components, fabrication techniques, and layout procedures.

The Welding Technology certificates prepare you for employment in entry-level positions, including industrial maintenance, sheet metal and repair/fabrication shops, motorsports/off-highway vehicle design and apprenticeship programs-such as pipefitting and ironworkers.
