The Community Education Department at San Joaquin Delta College provides educational opportunities for children,
teens, and adults. A variety of non-credit, fee-based workshops, seminars, and training programs are provided to
meet the needs of our community during the fall, spring, and summer terms. Community Education serves students of
all ages and can provide on-site workshops for groups, businesses, schools, and organizations by special request. Workshops and Programs for Adults and Kids College make up the Community Education Department.
Workshops and Programs for Adults provide a varied array of opportunities for personal growth, professional development,
skill improvement, cultural enrichment, and recreational enjoyment. The Programs for Adults includes
SICL (the Stockton Institute for Continued Learning), a learning-in-retirement program for older adults, the Small
Business Development Center, and Contract Education.
Kids College, which serves students ages 2 - 17 years old, provides academic and enrichment workshops. Classes are
designed to teach new and meaningful skills as well as to excite students about learning and to promote creativity in the
areas of: Academic Skills, Computers, Cooking and Nutrition, Fitness and Sports, Foreign Language, Personal
Development, and Visual and Performing Arts.
Early registration is encouraged as class sizes are limited and may fill quickly. Registration is on a
first-come, first-served basis. Online registration is available starting on August 25, 2008. Please use the link for registration under either Kids College or Workshops & Programs for Adults.
