Official Transcripts

A Transcript is an official document of courses taken showing the final grades, degrees, and certificates received from San Joaquin Delta College. Grades from other schools are not reflected on an official Delta College transcript. Official transcripts bear the seal of the college and the signature of the designated college official.


Requests for verification of grade-point-averages, previous term enrollment, degrees, certificates, and graduation information are fulfilled through request of an official transcript. This type of information is commonly requested by insurance carriers, prospective employers, etc.

To request Official Transcripts through the National Student Clearinghouse, please log into Student Records.

The Admissions & Records Office offers the following services for transcript ordering:

Pursuant to CA Education Code Section 76223, "that no charge shall be made for furnishing up to two transcripts of students' records..." Therefore, students are entitled to receive two free transcripts only if requested by mail or in person. Important Note: "two free transcripts" does not apply to orders requested through the Online process.

Important Information Concerning Transcript Ordering

Things to keep in mind before ordering your transcripts:

  • The Admissions & Records Office does not accept phone or fax requests.
  • All outstanding fees must be paid and all administrative or academic holds that prohibit access to student records must be cleared before requesting a transcript. To check fees and hold status, log into Student Records.
  • Transcripts requests are not held for posting of grades, degrees, or certificates. Therefore, if a student wishes to request a transcript that shows a degree or certificate, or final grades for a specific semester, it is the student's responsibility to ensure that this information has been posted before requesting a transcript. Final grades can be checked by logging into Student Records and viewing the academic history. Students are notified at the student's Delta College e-mail address when degree(s) and/or certificate(s) have been posted.
Requesting Transcripts ONLINE
Delta College has retained the National Student Clearinghouse to accept Online Transcript requests through their secured site for students whose grades are from Spring 1983 - Present. Pre-1983 Records are archived and not available via this service.

Advantages of using online services include:

  • Fastest Service - Students ordering over the Internet service receive the fastest transcript service possible. Transcript requests are completed the next business day after Delta College receives the order from the Student Clearinghouse.
  • 24/7 - Allows order placement 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
  • No Hassle - No need to fill out request forms; no need to mail anything.
  • Status Check- Can check the status of a transcript request at any time (24/7)
  • Credit Card Payment - Credit cards are accepted for transcript payment.

Requesting Transcripts IN PERSON or BY MAIL
To request a Transcript in person or by mail, the student must complete the Transcript Request Form and pay the applicable fee. This request will be processed within 3-5 business days after receipt and mailed first-class to the address provided by the student.
  • Complete the Transcript Request Form. If you are requesting transcripts to be sent to multiple addresses, you must submit separate Transcript Request Forms for each "Sent to" address. Failure to do so, may result in a delay in processing.
  • Submit the request form and payment:

Requesting Transcripts ON DEMAND

Effective, Tuesday, September 6, 2011, students may request a transcript on demand at the Admissions and Records Service Window.  The transcript will be produced while the student waits.  Here are the details:

  • Available for records from 1983 to current.  Pre-83 records are archived and not available via this service.
  • Cost is $10 per transcript
  • Payment must be made by cash, money order or check.  We do not accept credit or debit cards at the service windows.
  • Transcripts are released only to the student of record with picture ID.  Transcripts will not be released to second party individuals.

Admissions and Records, DeRicco Student Services Building, is open Monday through Thursday, 8:00am-4:30pm. 

Requesting Transcripts RUSH
To request a RUSH Transcript in person or by mail, the student must complete the Transcript Request Form and pay the applicable fee. This request will be processed the next business day after receipt and mailed first-class to the address provided by the student. Pre-1983 Records are archived and may require more than one business day.

Seasonal Campus Closure
During campus closures, orders that are received during the closure period will be processed in the order received when campus reopens.
